Meet the Team
Sam Lister
Founder and Director
Sam is half Scottish, half New Zealander, born and raised in Hong Kong and Japan, schooled in England and now living in Spain. He is a mish-mash of cultural backgrounds and now an adopted Sevillano!
Sam’s love for Spain began from his very first school Spanish class! He went on to complete Hispanic studies at Leeds University and was on a flight to Seville the day after his final exam.
He created Tailormade Andalucia in 2008, designing and guiding numerous unique itineraries throughout Southern Spain and beyond. Over the years the company’s expertise outgrew its name, leading Sam to create the brand Tailormade, a leading luxury DMC for Spain and Portugal.
Having designed and guided holidays throughout Spain and Portugal for over 15 years, few people know the inner workings of private travel in Spain & Portugal better than Sam!
Francisco Muñoz
Operations Manager
Francisco (or Fran as we call him) was born and raised in Málaga, he is a ‘Malagueño’ through and through! After finishing his studies at the University of Málaga, he spent a number of years living in the UK and the USA, soaking up their cultures and exploring both countries. Eventually he decided to return to Málaga where he got stuck into creating travel experiences to his beloved Spain.
After a number of years working for bespoke incoming travel companies, he has a wealth of experience in tourism and hospitality industries. He has fine-tuned his expertise to become one of the finest operations manager’s in the business! Mr Organised, a stickler for detail, he never misses a beat! Fran is guardian angel for many of our clients, our partners, and his own team mates! He is our Operations Manager!
James Monro
Travel Designer
James’ love affair with Spain began many moons ago with his family’s holidays to the Balearic island of Menorca. Shortly after his first visit, when asked to choose what language to study at school, Spanish was a clear choice for him and he progressed to study a degree in Spanish Language and Literature at Leeds University…
Since then, he has lived in Oviedo, Marbella, Cádiz Province and now Seville has become his surrogate city, where he has resided for over a decade, settling in the characterful and authentic neighbourhood of Triana – the birthplace of Flamenco! He is passionate about the many things the region has to offer, from its city life to its outdoors, its culinary to its climate and even its fiestas to its siestas!
Quite the British gentleman and the ideal host, he’s the perfect guy to create Tailormade itineraries and help you get the most out of your trip to Spain & Portugal!
Chaima Amanchar
Operations Specialist
Chaima was born and raised in Tetuan, Morocco. She moved to Sevilla when she was 18 years old and slipped effortlessly into the Andalucian way of life!
Over the years, Chaima worked in some of Seville’s finest hotels in a number of key roles before joining the Tailormade team! With boundless energy and a real “get up and go” attitude, Chaima brings an extra dose of spirit and vitality to the team.
A keen sportswoman and budding padel tennis player, she is also a natural concierge and looks after all of our guests with great pride and care!
Ángela Olmedo
Operations Specialist
If you were to chat with Ángela in English, you’d be surprised to learn she is actually from the nearby town of Los Palacios.
Having studied English language in Seville and Barcelona Universities, together with numerous trips and stays abroad, her love of the English language and culture is evident!
With ample experience in Customer Service and Client Relations, Ángela has brought an extra level of order and attention to detail to the team.
A keen snowboarder and a total anglophile, you’ll always see her with a big, welcoming smile and ever ready to ensure our guests are enjoying themselves!
Miriam Trochez
Guest & Partner Relations
Miriam has been a friend of Tailormade for quite some time, as for many years she worked in the world of flamenco theatre in Seville. We confess she was not one of the artists on stage, but she was quite the artist in helping us organise numerous front row seats and live performances for our clients!
Born and raised in Seville to a Honduran father and a mother from Huelva, unsurprisingly, flamenco is still one of her great passions, together with reading poetry and literature.
Miriam is the epitome of cool, calm and collected! Her smooth and methodical work ethic make her the perfect person to look after the paperwork of all of our guests and collaborating partners!
Paloma Martínez
Travel Designer
Born & raised in Madrid, Paloma studied Tourism and completed a master’s degree in event organization, protocol, and business tourism. With more than five years of experience as an Operations Manager in another Luxury DMC, Paloma was already an expert in the industry before joining Tailormade.
Her life took a turn when she fell in love with a Jerezano (a guy from Jerez de la Frontera!) which led her to move to the south of Spain, where she now enjoys life as a proud mom to a little Jerezana.
Outside of work, she is passionate about languages and lived numerous summers abroad studying German and English. Paloma loves spending time with her family, and is especially fond of her dachshund, “Pepe”. Traveling is one of her greatest passions, together with her regular sessions of CrossFit!
